For the first time in Vietnam’s history, there are 10 banks with a market capitalization over 100 trillion VND

Recently, the Vietnamese stock market reached a record with 23 stocks having a market capitalization of over 100 trillion VND, including 10 major banks like Vietcombank, BIDV, VietinBank, Techcombank, VPBank, and others. The VN-Index has increased nearly 390 points this year, with the total market capitalization nearing 9 trillion VND. The banking sector leads in both the number and value in this list, and many banks are considering IPOs of their brokerage firms. Banks are also actively engaging in the blockchain and digital asset sectors, with MB Bank signing an agreement to develop digital asset solutions with a South Korean partner. The trend of investing in digital assets is growing due to government support and legal frameworks related to the digital technology industry.
