The Vaneck Vectors Vietnam ETF (VNM ETF) has announced changes to its portfolio for Q1 2025. The update includes the addition of NAB (Nam A Bank) without removing any existing stocks. The total number of stocks in the portfolio has increased to 46, with an overall portfolio size of over $414 million (~10.6 trillion VND). The ETF plans to buy 8.1 million shares of SIP and 3.2 million shares of HPG, while significantly reducing its holdings in VIC (3 million shares), VHM (2 million shares), and SHB (2.8 million shares). VNM ETF switched its benchmark to the MVIS Vietnam Local Index in March 2023 after attracting substantial funds at the end of 2022 and early 2023. However, the ETF experienced a net outflow of nearly 1.5 trillion VND in 2024, and this trend has persisted into this year. Concurrently, the FTSE Vietnam ETF is also making similar changes, increasing its stake in SIP without excluding any stocks.
