Foreign investors, including Bill Gates’ fund, unexpectedly hold 16.64% of the company selling Omachi noodles and Chin-su fish sauce

Masan Consumer (MCH) has just completed a public offering of 326.8 million shares at 10,000 VND each, raising over 3.268 trillion VND and increasing its charter capital to 10.623 trillion VND. In this offering, 147 foreign investors purchased nearly 157 million shares, representing 48% of shares distributed and raising the foreign ownership at MCH to 16.64%. The parent company, MasanConsumerHoldings, which previously held 91.27% of shares, reduced its stake to 69.71% after the offering. Notably, a trust fund of billionaire Bill Gates is among the significant foreign shareholders investing in MCH. Masan Consumer targets revenues between 33,500 and 35,500 billion VND for 2025, with a growth rate of 8% to 15%.
