Former CEO of Alameda to be released from US custody after 440 days

Caroline Ellison will be released on Wednesday after 440 days in custody for her role in the infamous FTX scandal. Initially given a two-year sentence, she earned early release for good behavior and cooperation with federal investigations.

Despite her release, Ellison, along with other former FTX executives, remains barred from holding any leadership positions in the cryptocurrency sector. Bankman-Fried is serving a 25-year sentence, while others linked to FTX are facing varying legal challenges.
