Nevin Shetty was convicted of wire fraud for misappropriating 35 million USD. His investments in high-risk DeFi protocols resulted in substantial losses after the collapse of the Terra ecosystem.
After his fraud was uncovered, Shetty was fired and pleaded guilty. He faces a sentence next February, which could include up to 20 years in prison.
