I.P.A Investment Group (ticker IPA) announced that Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh has resigned from her position as a Board Member on June 4, citing family commitments. Born in 1971 and with a background in IT engineering and a Master’s in Finance, Ms. Thanh has held roles in several large organizations, including being the Director at VNDIRECT Securities from 2006 to 2009. She has been with IPA since 2006 and has served as the Chair of the Audit Committee since October 2024. After nearly 19 years, her resignation will take effect upon approval at the 2025 Annual General Meeting. The upcoming AGM will cover her replacement and a proposal to re-establish a Supervisory Board. Currently, IPA operates without a Supervisory Board to streamline decision-making. However, the Board has faced penalties for not meeting member criteria and has violated information disclosure regulations. In related news, VNDIRECT will pay a cash dividend of 5% for 2024, totaling 761 billion VND, with IPA, the largest shareholder, set to receive around 200 billion VND.
