Former VNDIRECT Director Resigns from IPA Position

Vietnam Investment Group Corporation (IPA) announced the resignation of Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh from the Board of Directors for the 2022-2027 term, effective June 4, due to family commitments. Born in 1971, Thanh is an IT engineer and finance master. Before joining IPA, she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM, and served as Director at VNDIRECT from 2006 to 2009. She joined IPA’s Board in 2006 and has been the Chairman of the Audit Committee since October 2024. Her resignation will take effect upon approval at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. The Board will propose to dismiss and elect a replacement for Thanh, as well as plans to re-establish the Supervisory Board for better independent oversight. IPA faces fines totaling 400 million VND for violations related to the number of Board members and information disclosure. Furthermore, on June 25, VNDIRECT will distribute a 2024 cash dividend at a rate of 5%, amounting to 761 billion VND for more than 1.52 billion shares, with IPA set to receive nearly 200 billion VND.
