FPT Partners with Leading U.S. Chip Designer to Transform Da Nang into Silicon Bay

On April 26, at the 23rd session, the Da Nang City Council approved FPT and Marvell Vietnam as strategic partners in the semiconductor and AI sectors. FPT, a leading IT enterprise in Vietnam, pledged to support Da Nang in developing semiconductors and AI for at least 5 years. The city aims to become one of the top three centers for semiconductor design by 2030, attracting various companies in the sector. FPT recently opened a high-tech R&D center for semiconductor technology in Da Nang, employing nearly 10,000 staff and contributing 69% of the city’s software export revenue. The company also plays a key role in the city’s digital transformation by developing electronic document management solutions and automation tools. Marvell, a leading U.S. chip designer, will collaborate with FPT to create innovative technology products and develop “Silicon Bay” in Da Nang.
