Ghana sets deadline for crypto registration

Ghana requires all cryptocurrency companies to register with the Bank of Ghana by August 15, 2025. This move aims to regulate the sector and enhance consumer protection.

Failure to register will prevent companies from operating legally, potentially leading to market consolidation and shifts in liquidity.

Ghana’s regulations align with similar actions in Nigeria and South Africa, indicating a trend towards stricter oversight in the region.
