Google plans to partner with MediaTek for its next-gen AI chips

Google is collaborating with MediaTek to develop next-generation AI chips named Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) by 2026, leveraging MediaTek’s cost-effective technologies.

Unlike competitors such as OpenAI and Meta that depend on Nvidia, Google is focusing on developing its unique chips to maintain strategic independence in the AI market.

With updates to its Gemini AI app, Google provides features like personalized AI tools and expanded connectivity, offering users enhanced experience at no cost.
