Vinasun Corporation announced that CEO Dang Thanh Duy plans to buy 2 million VNS shares, increasing his total holdings to 5.39 million shares or 7.94% of the company’s capital. Vinasun aims for a revenue of VND 976 billion in 2025, achieving 24% of its plan in the first quarter. The company will operate 2,000 hybrid vehicles and restructure its fleet, with about 400 hybrid vehicles replacing petrol ones. Vinasun’s investment in hybrids is aimed at reducing emissions and saving costs, differing from many other taxi companies investing in electric vehicles. Meanwhile, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are planning to ban petrol/diesel vehicles starting in 2026, gradually expanding until 2050. The hybrid vehicle investment is seen as a step to adapt to the current green trend.
