VietJet Air (VJC) has announced major personnel changes, appointing Philipp Rösler to the Board of Directors and relieving several current leaders who will transition to advisory roles. This change takes effect on May 30, 2025. Rösler, a former Deputy Prime Minister of Germany, brings valuable experience from various Vietnamese companies.
In terms of financial performance, in Q1 2025, VietJet reported consolidated revenues of VND 17.952 trillion and a pre-tax profit of VND 836 billion, a 24% increase from 2024, achieving 38% of the annual profit plan. The airline transported over 6.87 million passengers across 137 routes, with a fleet of 106 aircraft after adding two new planes. VietJet has also placed an order for 20 Airbus A330-900 jets to expand international flights in the upcoming decade.
