Hòa Phát Group (HPG) has announced its Q2 and six-month financial results for 2025, achieving a Q2 revenue of 36 trillion VND and a net profit of 4.3 trillion VND, the highest in three years. For the first half of the year, revenues exceeded 74 trillion VND, with profits rising 23% year-on-year. HPG produced 2.5 million tons of crude steel in Q2, a 10% increase from last year; total sales reached 2.6 million tons, an 18% increase. Cumulatively for the first half, crude steel output was 5.1 million tons, and sales reached 5 million tons, up 17% and 23%, respectively. HPG plans to complete blast furnace No. 6 by September 2025, increasing total capacity to 16 million tons/year, including 9 million tons of HRC. The 2025 target is 170 trillion VND in revenue and 15 trillion VND in profit, currently achieving 44% of revenue and 51% of profit in six months. The agriculture sector also reported a significant increase of 38% in revenue and 130% in profit. On August 19, 2025, HPG will start construction on a high-speed rail steel production plant in Dung Quat.
