On July 16, 2025, the European Commission announced its final decision not to impose anti-dumping duties on Hoa Phat Group’s (HPG) hot rolled coils (HRC), allowing these products to enter the EU with a 0% duty rate. In contrast, other Vietnamese companies face a 12.1% duty, while Japan and Egypt face higher rates. HPG actively cooperated during the investigation, establishing its leading position in steel production in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. By the end of 2025, its steel production capacity is expected to reach 16 million tons annually, with 9 million tons being hot rolled coils. Additionally, in Q2 2025, HPG reported revenues of 36 trillion VND and profits of 4.3 trillion VND, reflecting strong recovery and growth, particularly with HRC production increasing by 42% compared to the same period in 2024.
