Hoa Phat will export steel pipes to the US starting from May 5, 2025, without facing anti-dumping duties, having proven the origin of the base steel is from Vietnam. The US Department of Commerce (DOC) confirmed Hoa Phat is exempt after participating in an administrative review of anti-dumping taxes on steel imports from China. This success stemmed from Hoa Phat’s transparent cooperation in providing data to US authorities. Hoa Phat began exporting steel pipes to the US in 2010 and currently has a production capacity of 1.2 million tons/year. In the first four months of 2025, Hoa Phat’s export revenue rose by 36%. As the largest steel producer in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, Hoa Phat aims to reach a designed capacity of 15 million tons/year by the end of 2025.
