Hoa Phat’s CEO Plans to Transfer 220 Billion VND Worth of HPG Shares to Family

Nguyen Ngoc Quang, a board member of Hoa Phat Group (HPG), plans to sell 8.5 million HPG shares to his son and family, valued at approximately 220 billion VND. The transaction is expected to occur from May 14 to June 12, 2025, reducing his ownership from 1.77% to 1.63%. HPG shares have stabilized after a recent recovery, closing at 25,700 VND per share with a market capitalization of over 164 trillion VND. Additionally, Hoa Phat has approved a 20% stock dividend for 2024, which will involve the issuance of 1.28 billion new shares, increasing its charter capital to 76.755 trillion VND. In Q1 2025, the company reported a revenue of 37.9 trillion VND and a profit of 3.3 trillion VND, marking increases of 22% and 16% year-on-year. Hoa Phat aims for a revenue of 170 trillion VND and a profit of 15 trillion VND for 2025.
