Hong Kong University’s business school plans to accept Bitcoin for tuition and donations

Professor Hongbin Cai announced that all technical arrangements for accepting Bitcoin have been finalized. The school is actively seeking to embrace digital currencies, demonstrating a commitment to innovation.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority launched a stablecoin licensing framework, effective August 1, 2025, aiming to position the region as a prominent global virtual asset hub, as highlighted by Binance’s founder.
