HoSE Capitalization Increases by 690 Trillion VND in Six Months: Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong Accounts for 80%, TCB and Gelex Contribute Over 1 Billion USD; FPT and VCB See Sharpest Declines

The total market capitalization on HoSE has increased by 690 trillion VND in the first half of 2025, reaching nearly 5.9 million trillion VND, led by Vingroup (VIC) which increased by 210 trillion VND. Vinpearl (VPL) and Vinhomes (VHM) also reported impressive capital gains of 170 trillion and 152 trillion VND respectively. The four companies under the Vingroup umbrella contributed 549 trillion VND to the overall HoSE growth. Additionally, Techcombank (TCB) saw a growth of 66 trillion VND, while Gelex (GEX) also performed well. However, not all companies experienced growth; FPT and Vietcombank (VCB) were among the largest declines, with reductions of 51 trillion and 36 trillion VND. Other banks like HDBank, TPBank, and BIDV also faced decreases in capitalization.
