HoSE Market Capitalization Increased by 690 Trillion VND in Six Months: Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong Accounts for 80%, TCB and Gelex Contribute Over 1 Billion USD; FPT and VCB Drop Most Significantly

The total market capitalization on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) experienced a remarkable growth of approximately 690 trillion VND, reaching nearly 5.9 million trillion VND, a 13% increase compared to the end of 2024. Leading the growth is Vingroup (VIC) with an increase of nearly 210 trillion VND, becoming the second largest market cap company. Vinpearl (VPL) showed significant growth after its listing, approaching 170 trillion VND. Vinhomes (VHM) increased by 152 trillion VND, ranking third. In total, four companies from the Vingroup group contributed 549 trillion VND to HoSE’s market capitalization. Techcombank (TCB) increased by 66 trillion VND, while Gelex (GEX) and Gelex Electric (GEE) recorded impressive growth rates. However, some companies like FPT and Vietcombank (VCB) faced significant declines in market capitalization, with FPT down by nearly 51 trillion VND and VCB down by 36 trillion VND. Other banks such as HDBank and TPBank also saw declines in market cap.
