HoSE Market Capitalization Increases by 690 Trillion VND in Six Months: Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong Accounts for 80%, TCB and Gelex Contribute Over 1 Billion USD; FPT and VCB See the Biggest Declines

The total market capitalization of the HoSE has increased by 690 trillion VND, reaching nearly 5.9 million trillion VND by the end of June 2025, up approximately 13% compared to the end of 2024. Vingroup companies lead this increase, with VIC up by 210 trillion VND (136%), VPL reaching 170 trillion VND, and VHM increasing by 152 trillion VND (92.5%). These four companies from Vingroup contributed an additional 549 trillion VND in total market capitalization.

Techcombank recorded the highest increase among banks, adding 66 trillion VND (38%). Gelex and Gelex Electric also showed remarkable growth, increasing by 17 trillion VND (105%) and 25 trillion VND (239%), respectively.

However, some large companies reported significant declines in market capitalization. FPT lost nearly 51 trillion VND (23%), now valued at 174 trillion VND. Vietcombank dropped 36 trillion VND (7%) to 474 trillion VND. Other banks like HDBank, TPBank, and ACB also saw declines in value.
