HoSE’s Market Capitalization Rises by 690 Trillion VND in Six Months: Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong Accounts for 80%, TCB and Gelex Contribute Over 1 Billion USD; FPT and VCB Decline Sharply

The total market capitalization on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) reached nearly 5.9 trillion VND on June 28, 2025, increasing by approximately 690 trillion VND (13%) compared to the end of 2024. Vingroup (VIC) led the surge with a market cap increase of nearly 210 trillion VND (136%), becoming the second-largest company after Vietcombank. Vinpearl (VPL) and Vinhomes (VHM) also saw strong growth, with increases of 170 and 152 trillion VND, respectively. The total market cap of four Vin Group companies increased by 549 trillion VND. In banking, Techcombank (TCB) saw an increase of nearly 66 trillion VND (38%), while some companies like FPT faced significant declines, with a reduction of nearly 51 trillion VND to 174 trillion VND. Vietcombank (VCB) also dropped 36 trillion VND, now at 474 trillion VND. While some other banks reported gains, major names like HDBank, TPBank, and Vinamilk experienced declines.
