HSBC and LBBW announced the completion of a 79 million USD unconditional loan guarantee for GELEX, a leading investment group in Vietnam. HSBC is the lead coordinating bank, alongside LBBW, providing financial support for GELEX, with SACE backing the transaction, indicating confidence in Vietnam’s green growth potential. Tim Evans, HSBC Vietnam’s CEO, stated that this transaction aids Vietnamese businesses in accessing international capital. GELEX has demonstrated its adherence to international standards and commitment to sustainable development. Nguyen Trong Hien, GELEX’s Chairman, noted that this deal initiates their strategy for international capital mobilization, reaffirming GELEX’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and investment value.
