On October 20th, the Vietnamese stock market experienced its largest drop ever, with the VN-Index falling by 94.76 points (5.47%) to 1,636.43 points. Many stocks, including those owned by billionaires, hit floor prices, resulting in significant losses. Billionaire Phạm Nhật Vượng lost VND 20.4 trillion (4.5%), reducing his net worth to USD 18.3 billion, ranking 132nd globally. Other billionaires were also affected: Trần Đình Long lost VND 3.9 trillion, Hồ Hùng Anh lost VND 2.1 trillion, and Nguyễn Đăng Quang lost VND 1.9 trillion. Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo experienced the smallest decrease, approximately VND 400 billion (1%).
