If one day your stock account drops by billions, don’t be sad because others have lost thousands or tens of thousands of billions

On October 20, the VN-Index experienced a record drop of 94.76 points (5.47%), bringing it down to 1,636.43 points. Many stocks hit the floor price, leading to substantial decreases in wealth for several Vietnamese billionaires. Phạm Nhật Vượng lost 20.4 trillion VND (4.5%), as his VIC shares fell to 194,900 VND each. Other billionaires like Trần Đình Long, Hồ Hùng Anh, and Nguyễn Đăng Quang saw their wealth drop by 1.9 to 3.9 trillion VND, on average around 7%. Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo had the smallest reduction, losing about 400 billion VND (1%).
