Hà Tĩnh Province’s People’s Committee recently issued important directions regarding Vingroup’s projects, especially the 5 million tons/year steel plant in Vũng Áng. Vingroup, led by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, is actively implementing this project to develop the steel manufacturing industry in his hometown. VinMetal, established in October 2025, has an investment of 10 trillion VND and aims to complete the location selection by November 30, 2025, with an opening ceremony scheduled for December 19. Additionally, Vingroup plans to produce steel to serve major infrastructure projects such as the North-South high-speed railway. Besides Vingroup, Hòa Phát is also preparing to kick off a special steel project with a total investment of 14 trillion VND.
