India’s Supreme Court questions Centre over lack of clear crypto policy

The Supreme Court of India urged the government to establish clear cryptocurrency regulations, highlighting risks associated with unregulated Bitcoin trading, likening it to a more polished form of Hawala.

The court stressed that outright banning cryptocurrencies is not the solution, advocating instead for a comprehensive regulatory framework that would facilitate oversight and prevent illegal activities.
