International Organization Invests 500 Billion VND in Vietnam’s Largest Non-Stop Toll Collection Company

HUT has received an investment of 500 billion VND from IFC through convertible bonds with a 5-year term at a fixed interest rate of 5% per year. The investment aims to promote smart transport initiatives in Vietnam. VETC, a subsidiary of Tasco established in 2015, currently manages 126 toll stations, serving over 3.8 million cars and holds a 70% market share in the non-stop electronic toll collection (ETC) sector. VETC records an average of 450,000-500,000 new customers annually and plans to expand its ETC system to 5,000 km by 2026. In addition to toll collection, the company is also developing related services such as fuel payment and journey monitoring. IFC, the largest global development organization supporting the private sector in emerging economies, is committed to funding 56 billion USD for companies in the financial year 2024.
