JPMorgan Chase reported that the Bitcoin network hashrate declined to 1,045 EH/s in December 2025, a reduction of 3%. Mining earnings significantly decreased to 38,700 USD per EH/s daily, marking the lowest profitability on record.
By year-end 2025, the total market capitalization of tracked U.S. Bitcoin mining firms rose to 48 billion USD, reflecting a 73% annual increase. While Hut 8 stock gained 2%, CleanSpark faced a significant loss of 33%.
