Among the 50 largest listed companies on the Vietnamese stock market, only two non-financial companies, Vinamilk (31 million VND) and ACV (30.5 million VND), pay an average salary above 30 million VND/month. In contrast, the financial sector, particularly large banks, has significantly higher average salaries. Techcombank Securities reported an average income of 70.5 million VND/person/month, up 8.5% from the previous year. SSI noted an average payout of about 55 million VND/person/month. The securities industry mainly sees high income due to commissions and performance bonuses. ACB, Vietinbank, and Vietcombank also register significant average salaries. However, this figure doesn’t accurately reflect reality as it includes high incomes of executives divided by total employees. The national average salary is only about 7.7 million VND/month.
