Lighter has successfully raised 68 million USD in a funding round led by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, Ribbit Capital, and Robinhood. This latest funding adds to nearly 90 million USD the company has raised in total, aiming to enhance on-chain trading capabilities.
Operating as a custom layer 2 exchange on Ethereum, Lighter focuses on verifiable matching and liquidations, targeting institutional DeFi traders to improve transparency and speed in digital asset trading.
