According to the Q2 financial report, Dabaco Vietnam Group (DBC) reported a revenue of over 3.8 trillion VND, a 20% increase year-on-year, with a net profit of 507 billion VND, 3.5 times higher than last year. In the first half of the year, DBC achieved 7.4 trillion VND in revenue and over 1 trillion VND in profit, nearly 4.7 times higher. Similarly, Agricultural Joint Stock Company BAF reported nearly 1.4 trillion VND in revenue and a net profit of 195 billion VND in Q2, a 5.6 times increase year-on-year. The total pig sales were about 330,000 in the first half, yielding over 2.5 trillion VND in revenue, hitting 78% of the 2024 annual target. Masan Group also reported a net profit of 1.619 trillion VND in Q2, mainly driven by livestock and pork sales. However, the livestock sector faces challenges from African Swine Fever, with thousands of infected pigs being reported and culled nationwide.
