On July 5, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Vietnam-Brazil Business Forum in Rio de Janeiro, calling for enhanced cooperation between the two countries, particularly in agriculture. Brazil committed to importing more seafood and rice from Vietnam and signing an agreement to ensure food security. Loc Troi, a Vietnamese agricultural corporation, aims to seize opportunities in the vast Brazilian market. While possessing a complete agricultural value chain from seeds to exports, Loc Troi is facing financial difficulties, especially after the former CEO was accused of fraud. In 2024, Loc Troi’s financial situation is challenging, projecting revenues of 4.2 trillion VND, the lowest in over a decade, with an EBITDA of -524 billion VND.
