Malaysian police raid $8,000-a-month, 45-machine Bitcoin mining operation

Malaysian police conducted raids in Hulu Terengganu and Marang, leading to the seizure of valuable Bitcoin mining equipment. This crackdown aims to target electricity theft associated with illegal operations.

The illegal mining operation resulted in significant losses for local electricity providers, with an estimated 8,342 USD lost monthly and 722 million USD in total due to such activities.
