In the first six months of 2025, many enterprises reported significant profit declines compared to the same period in 2024, with some nearly dropping to zero. Vinaship (VNA) and Nhà Từ Liêm (NTL) were at the top of the list, with profits falling from 35 billion VND to 400 million VND and from 844 billion VND to 12 billion VND, respectively. The main reasons included market difficulties and unstable supply chains. Hòa Bình (HBC) also reported a profit of 57 billion VND, down 93% year-on-year. The securities sector had numerous companies facing substantial profit reductions, such as VDSC (down 97%), Trí Việt Securities (down 94%), and APG Securities (down 86%). Moreover, several companies reported large losses, with NSH Petro losing 332 billion VND, Novaland 261 billion VND, and Cảng Phước An 248 billion VND.
