Market Fluctuates, Leading Plastic Companies “Hold Hands” to Reach Historical Peaks

Amid market turmoil, two plastic stocks, NTP (Tien Phong Plastic) and BMP (Binh Minh Plastic), have reached historical highs, priced at 70,800 and 144,400 VND per share, respectively, showing significant growth since the beginning of the year. Although BMP has a larger market capitalization, the gap is narrowing as NTP exhibits better profit growth. In 2024, NTP reported revenue of 5,656 billion VND, while BMP’s revenue fell by 10% to 4,679 billion VND. In early 2025, both companies reported strong business results, with NTP’s revenue increasing by 34% and BMP’s by 38%. NTP’s net profit was 212 billion VND, rising 94%, while BMP’s profit was 287 billion VND, up 51%. Recently, both companies have had the presence of Thai shareholder SCG, impacting their development strategies and stock values.
