As of June 26, Forbes announced that Nguyễn Đăng Quang, Chairman of Masan Group, has rejoined the billionaire list with a net worth of $1.1 billion, ranking 2,945th in the world. Vietnam now has five billionaires, including Phạm Nhật Vượng and Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo. Quang’s wealth surged as MSN shares rose over 40% in three months, with market capitalization exceeding 100 trillion VND. Masan’s second-quarter profit is projected at 1.5 trillion VND, up over 50% from last year, with business segments like Masan MEATLife expected to break even. The growth is driven by WinCommerce and Masan Consumer, benefiting from modern retail trends and rising demand for safe food. Continued VAT tax reductions until 2026 are expected to further boost consumption. Masan Consumer will pay a 25% dividend in July.
