Masan Group Reappoints CEO Danny Le for Second Term

On June 19, 2025, Masan Group (MSN) announced the reappointment of Danny Le as CEO for the term 2025-2030. In his first five years, he transformed Masan from a consumer goods conglomerate into an integrated model combining consumption, technology, and finance. Under his leadership, Masan restructured its business model, expanded new ventures, and executed significant M&A transactions. A standout achievement was the establishment of The CrownX, merging Vincommerce with Masan Consumer, which turned WinCommerce profitable by Q4 2024 with nearly 4,000 stores nationwide. Several other companies also joined the Masan ecosystem during his tenure. Danny Le emphasized that Masan’s M&A philosophy focuses on acquiring “platforms” to support the overall strategy rather than just revenue or profit. As of June 2025, he successfully completed the first phase of building an integrated consumption-retail platform. In the second phase, Masan will focus on strengthening market share and increasing profitability, while raising over $2 billion during his recent term.
