MetaMask’s parent company Consensys plans to lay off more staff in push for profitability

Consensys, the company behind the MetaMask wallet, plans to lay off 49 employees, approximately 7% of its workforce as part of a new strategy after acquiring Web3Auth.

Following the SEC’s termination of its investigation into Consensys, the company can now focus on profitability. CEO Joe Lubin is also involved in SharpLink Gaming, expanding the firm’s interests.
