MIT Brothers’ alleged $25 million crypto heist planned for months, according to insider testimony

Travis Chen revealed that the brothers aimed to manipulate Ethereum’s MEV-Boost protocol. Their plan, originally dubbed ‘Omakase,’ involved baiting sandwich bots into executing trades to drain funds quickly.

The brothers expected to net around $6 million, with the possibility for greater gains if they trapped multiple traders. Prosecutors claim they exploited a software vulnerability for their profit.
