Mobile World, Hoa Sen, Tân Hiệp Phát… and a series of famous companies in Binh Duong, Ba Ria – Vung Tau moved their “residences” to Ho Chi Minh City

Starting from July 1, Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau are merged into Ho Chi Minh City, many large enterprises like Mobile World, Hoa Sen, and Tân Hiệp Phát will also relocate their headquarters. Binh Duong is considered the “industrial capital” of Vietnam, with numerous companies in steel, food, and consumer goods. Ba Ria-Vung Tau hosts significant oil and gas and port enterprises. After the merger, the new Ho Chi Minh City will cover an area of 6,770 km2 and a population of about 14 million, with a projected GRDP of 2.71 million billion VND, accounting for 24% of the national GDP. This transformation makes Ho Chi Minh City a “super city”, surpassing the GDP of many countries in the region.
