The 2024 annual report reveals that among the 21 largest enterprises in Vietnam, only 37.3% of the workforce at Vingroup is female, yet females hold 59% of management positions. This reflects the hiring philosophy of Pham Nhat Vuong, who believes women excel in leadership roles. The banking sector attracts many female employees (around 60%), but Sacombank has the lowest female representation in management at 24.1%. Other banks like LPBank, MB, and HDBank also exhibit similar issues. While Vietnamese women make up over 70% of the workforce, only 1/4 of leadership roles are occupied by them, indicating a persistent inequality in advancement opportunities.
