At the 2025 Annual General Meeting, Hoa Phat Group (HPG) decided to change its dividend payment plan for 2024 from 5% cash and 15% stock to 100% stock at a rate of 20%. The change was due to import tax policies and to ensure cash resources. Chairman Tran Dinh Long called for shareholders’ understanding about not distributing cash dividends, assuring that cash dividends would resume in 2026, barring any major changes. Hoa Phat aims for a revenue of 170 trillion VND in 2025, a 21% increase, and after-tax profit of 15 trillion VND, up nearly 25%. Long also noted that the company achieved 37 trillion VND in revenue and 3.3 trillion VND in profit in the first quarter, up 19% and 15% year-on-year, respectively. He believes that high business targets present challenges but also opportunities, and that Hoa Phat will not adjust its business plans.
