Nasdaq drops crypto framework on SEC that could redefine trading

Nasdaq’s new regulatory framework aims to integrate digital assets into U.S. Markets while ensuring investor protections. It introduces a four-tier system to classify digital assets, retaining traditional regulatory standards for financial securities.

The proposal includes the creation of ‘ATS-Digital,’ a specialized trading venue for digital assets under lighter regulations. This aims to promote innovation while safeguarding investor interests.

Nasdaq emphasizes the need for joint efforts between the SEC, CFTC, and Congress to maintain a secure environment for digital assets, paving the way for advancements in the industry.
