Neuralink teams up with Spain, California for Elon Musk’s new ‘bionic eye’ project

Neuralink is partnering with researchers in Spain and California for a clinical trial aimed at developing a Smart Bionic Eye. This trial is focused on how brain-computer interfaces can potentially restore vision to blind patients using advanced technology.

Neuralink plans to launch the Blindsight chip by 2030, anticipating $1 billion in revenue by 2031. As of now, only a few patients have received implants, with the company also preparing to open five clinics to conduct around 20,000 surgeries annually.
