William Duplessie, 32, has been indicted for his role in the kidnapping of an Italian businessman, accused of holding him hostage in a Soho townhouse. Both suspects, including John Woeltz, have been formally charged with multiple offenses, including unlawful imprisonment.
The victim escaped after enduring 17 days of torture, escaping barefoot to seek help on the streets of Manhattan. Police uncovered numerous pieces of evidence, including drugs and torture implements, further solidifying the case against the suspects.
