New Zealand’s FMA begins public consultation on tokenization regulations

The New Zealand Financial Markets Authority (FMA) has commenced a public consultation regarding tokenization regulation, running through the end of October.

While there has been a rise in inquiries about tokenization, the FMA notes a lack of implemented projects, expressing concern that current regulations may impede startups and jeopardize consumer protection.
