The employee replaced her company’s QR code with her personal WeChat and bank details to unlawfully obtain funds. From 2024 onwards, she took over 1.53 million yuan.
After the embezzlement was revealed, she reported herself to the police in 2025 and received a two-year and three-month prison sentence, alongside a financial penalty.
