North Dakota Senate passes crypto ATM bill limiting daily transactions to $2,000

On March 18, the North Dakota Senate passed House Bill 1447, setting a daily transaction cap of $2,000 for users at crypto ATMs, approved with a 45 to 1 vote.

The law mandates that crypto ATM operators obtain licensing as money transmitters and utilize blockchain analytics to monitor fraudulent activities.

This legislation comes in response to rising fraud statistics at Bitcoin ATMs, emphasizing the need for enhanced protections for users in the crypto space.
