Several companies have reported significant profit declines in the first six months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Vinaship (VNA) and Nhà Từ Liêm (NTL) top the list with nearly 100% drops in pre-tax profits, as VNA’s profits fell from 35 billion to 400 million VND due to adverse market conditions and rising operational costs, while NTL reported a 90% revenue drop due to a lack of qualifying projects. The construction sector is also heavily impacted, with Hòa Bình (HBC) experiencing a 93% decline in profits. The securities sector has several firms facing significant losses, including VDSC (down 97%) and Trí Việt Securities (down 94%). Additional companies from other sectors, such as tire manufacturing, F&B, and electricity, also faced challenges. The three largest losses reported are NSH Petro (332 billion VND), Novaland (261 billion VND), and Cảng Phước An (248 billion VND).
