In the first half of 2025, many companies reported significant profit declines compared to the same period in 2024, with some nearly erasing 100%. Vinaship (VNA) and Nha Tu Liem (NTL) topped the list, with profits down from 35 billion to 400 million VND and from 844 billion to 12 billion VND, respectively. The main reasons include adverse market conditions and unstable supply. Hoa Binh (HBC) reported a profit of 57 billion VND, a 93% decrease from 841 billion VND last year. The securities sector saw substantial declines, with companies like VDSC and Tri Viet Securities dropping 77% to 97%. Additionally, several firms in rubber production, F&B, and media also experienced downturns. Many companies reported losses, with NSH Petro losing 332 billion VND, Novaland 261 billion VND, and Port Phuoc An 248 billion VND.
